Fashion designers in India are showcasing more talent and style than ever before. There are tons of top quality designers who’ve well and truly left their mark on the industry; they thoroughly deserve all the credit and acknowledgment their receiving.
So, it’s not surprising that premium Indian fashion is in high demand. Don’t believe us? The stats speak for themselves.
Each year Indian fashion has grown in popularity, and as of 2018, it’s now a $15.03 billion industry!
In light of this, we wanted to share our three favorite Indian fashion designers so that you can get in on the hype as well.

1. Manish Malhotra
His work and designs are nothing short of fabulous. He’s famous for dressing Bollywood stars both in real life and on the screens.
His effortless fashions and gorgeous sense of style has rightly secured his place as one of the best designers in the whole of India,
He’s an incredible example of how far you can rise without any formal training! With a bit of creativity and passion who knows where it’ll take you.
2. Rohit Bal
Rohit is one of the biggest names in Indian fashion. Initially, he’s from a small town in Kashmir; he started his career by working for his brother’s clothing business in the mid-eighties.
Then in 1990, he branched out and launched a collection under his own name. His primary store is in Delhi, but now his designs adorn retail stores in almost every major Indian city.
He’s dressed the likes of Uma Thurman, Pamela Anderson, Naomi Campbell, just to name a few!
3. Sabyasachi Mukherjee
If you’re into bridal fashion, you’ll undoubtedly have heard of Sabyasachi Mukherjee. There isn’t a bride India who doesn’t want to be dressed by him on her special day. His gowns are divine!
You may recognize him from the reality TV show ‘Band, Baaja & Bride.’ Here he styles plenty of brides-to-be who wouldn’t usually be able to afford one of his dresses, but gives them the outfit of her dreams for free!
